Key concepts for designers

  • Text alternatives 
    • Images need alternative text.
    • Avoid images of text.
  • Adaptable & Distinguishable
    • Color cannot be the only method to understand the content.
    • Text needs to have a high enough contrast ratio to be legible.
    • Links and buttons need to look and act clickable.
  • Operable
    • Provide pause, stop, and hide options for animations.

    • Content should be well structured with Headings, Lists, and Tables.
    • Link text needs to be specific and descriptive.

    • Consistent navigation placement and interactivity.
